Weekly
drop-in support in Tottenham
Our weekly support group in Tottenham, North London is a friendly and welcoming drop-in for women
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding you are welcome to come along with
your children.
Thursday mornings, 10.00 – 12.00, at the Sure Start room, Woodlands
Park Children’s Centre, London N15 3SD.
The group is free, you don't need to book and you don't need to attend the
whole session - just come along when you can. However, we don't open some
weeks in school holidays, so check here for dates in
2006.
The drop-in is run by trained Breastfeeding Supporters and Helpers from the Breastfeeding Network (BfN).
All Supporters are mothers who have breastfed their own children and have
been trained by the BfN - as well as running this drop-in they take phone
calls from mothers who are looking for breastfeeding support - call 0870
900 8787 to be put through to a Supporter at her home. Helpers have also
been trained by the BfN to support women to breastfeed.
We run special events from time to time -
sometimes visits from health professionals on a particular theme, like
introducing solids, or visits from the Sure Start Book and Toy Bus. Even if
we have a special event on, you can still come along for one-to-one
breastfeeding support or a chat.
